Yes go to chiropractor ASAP you will be cured. Choose the best one in the area ask them to fit you in today as an emergency

Gentle stretch exercises might help.

Sit upright and imagine you are a puppet on a string and a string is being pulled up through your spine and out of the top of your head. Without moving your shoulders up, keep your face looking straight on but raise your head towards the ceiling.

When I had a trapped nerve in my neck after a whiplash injury from previous years, I had physio where my neck was put in traction and my head winched up.

I really wouldn't let a chiropractor anywhere near my neck. Agree with gentle stretches and anti inflammatories. If it doesnt improve, definitely go to the GP.

I am able to move about and the tabs are relaxing it. Def doing the puppet exercise as suggested. I would only go for treatment if it was still like this after a week!!!

Alexander Technique semi-supine position. If you google it you’ll get a better idea than I can give. 15 mins whenever you can. Otherwise, alternate hot and cold (hot water bottle/frozen peas), or if you have to be sitting up, a heat pack (wheat bag) helps as it can sit round your neck or on your shoulder. I used to get this regularly, painkillers never did much for it. Would recommend getting to an osteopath or chiropractor if you can, if it’s been going on for longer than a couple of days.

I had this the other day. Ibuprofen gel or better still Volterol gel really helps.

Overseasmom100 · 15/03/2019 10:36

Diazepam. Works like a charm. Except it makes me really sick. So can't take even a tiny dose. Sad
