Decorator has made a hash of wallapering

and won't be coming back except to pick up his tools tomorrow. (Now I know why the last person I hired took so long - he was right to as his work was amazing.)
Question: Do I leave the paper up or rip it down? It's been up for about 2 hours now.
Yes I have already ordered new paper and am now looking for a professional. This one came with recommendations though, but jeez, I could cry it's that bad. Rips, misalignments, gaps, flaps ... I think I just have to laugh.

When DD was young we had someone put up my little pony wallpaper. We came back to some of the ponies on there backs. When asked why he had put it on upside down his reply was 'thats how it came off the roll'.

OP - I would be disinclined to pay him a penny. Tell him you're withholding his labour fee to recoup the cost of the paper you'll now have to replace.

In the eighties when Laura Ashley wallpaper with matching borders was a thing, we left our trusted old decorator to do the dining room while we were on holiday. He did a lovely job of the striped wallpaper and put the border up too, upside down. Swags of roses defying gravity.

Ask him for a refund. You’ve paid him for a job and you’re going to have to get another decorator in to do what he should have done in the first place!

If people let him off time after time he will just keep getting away with it.

Is it 2 different papers? The green pic look like felt squares.

When he comes to collect his tools hand him the bag of wallpaper.

If you go on "my builder" it gives you real reviews of tradesmen/women.

Yes, two different feature walls/rooms. The green one has a massive chinesoise pattern, £150/roll. The dark floral is cheap & cheerful Laura Ashley.

I'll give him a chance to do the right thing when he swings by tomorrow, a lot of people in my neighbourhood have used him and to me their work looked ok. He's getting on a bit, had a bad day, I just don't know. But the finishing is shocking, seriously.
