What is a good brand of waterproof raincoat for a child that also provides warmth?

Just that really. DD has a really warm down jacket which is not waterproof and a thin shower proof raincoat which is not at all warm. In wet, winter weather like today, she has to wear both keep warm and dry.

What is a good, not too expensive raincoat that also provides some warmth?

Thanks in advance!

Muddy puddles when they are in the sale, tried others but always end up going back to MP

Trespass as well here.

I usually pay £10-£15 for the fully waterproof breathable very warm Tresspass coats.

We have the ones in the photo & they are excellant.

You could be brave and venture into TKMaxx & try to find one.

Trespass- made in Glasgow (where they know a bit about rain Grin )

I bought one for my 19yo DS, very smart, lots of secure zipped pockets , not logo-ed up to his ears.
He;s had a few over the years.

Muddy Puddles when they were little (and they had sales) they originate from a Farming family who wanted clothes to keep the DC warm and dry so made their own.

DD had a Superdry waterproof when she was in Yr7 , kept her cosy and dry.

I don't buy the 3-in-1 or lined for the DC, just the mesh lined . They can layer up.

I love polarn o pyret for the quality, they’ve got a sale on at the moment too.

I got my kids this technical parka (pic attached) from matalan and I'm really pleased with it. It's waterproof, and lined with thick Sherpa type fleece, which covers the whole inside (so many just have the fleece across the shoulders. It's also nipped in around waist and somehow managed to look reasonably smart (well, not scruffy anyway). It's on sale now though so not sure if still available.

Thank you so much for all these lovely recommendations!

DD had a beautiful raincoat from Muddy Puddles. It lasted forever (bought it big) and still had some more life left. Bug I always thought MP don't do older kids sizes. Will have a look.

Thanks again. These are really helpful.
