I am so out of touch with the modern world it's embarrassing.

A couple of weeks ago I read something about a celebrity who had 'slid into somebody's DMs, I didn't think much of it, didn't read the article and moved on.
A few days later I saw a similarly titled article and thought Crikey what is it with people borrowing other people's boots.
Saw it again and decided to read it as I couldn't fathom why boot snaffling was such a thing. Grin
Obviously I now realise I am a complete berk who needs to get down with all this modern stuff. Confused

SavoyCabbage Thank you. I now have to subtly try and work out who this particular 'road man' is. Hmm

Apparently “airing” is not replying to someone on social media for a while. I thought it was what I did with the washing until dn informed me!

Apparently I say 'Netflix' wrongly. There are only two ways - NETflix or netFLIX. I don't know what I say or why I say it, I just know it's wrong. And because I don't know what I say, I can't change it.

@HollowTalk just don't go saying 'Netflix and chill' when you mean curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine and film to watch Wink

My ds was talking about 'road men' and I thought he meant people who work on the road ie road works.

Ages ago I guessed that DM was direct mail but when I read your op I also thought of someone wearing someone else's Doc Martens Grin
