Handhold for tomorrow

Ds (44) has been having tests for kidney cancer and he is getting the results tomorrow. He lives about 150 miles away on his own so I am going to drive up tomorrow to go to the hospital with him.

We are hoping that it has been caught early as he had a scan originally because he had pain in the other kidney and they were looking for kidney stones which he does not have.

Ds might be in his forties but he is still my boy.

Of course he is your boy.
Keeping everything crossed for tomorrow.

Fingers crossed and positive thoughts

Hope all goes well for him. Even when they've flown the nest they're still our babies.

Good luck. Safe journey, take your time and get plenty of breaks.

I hope it goes well. Drive safe.

Fingers crossed!

And, yes, of course he's still your boy. My 34-year-old sister is also still my baby sister despite being barely a year younger than me.

Hope all goes well! Flowers

Thank you for all your good wishes. I have booked a hotel so fortunately I don't have to drive home tomorrow.

Ds has got stage 1 kidney cancer but it does not seem to have spread to anything else. He has been referred to St George's in Tooting who specialise in kidney operations so he is now waiting for that appointment. The consultant he saw yesterday thinks that will take about two weeks and then the operation is likely to be within the two weeks afterwards. We are just grateful it was caught in time and very fortunate that it was discovered when he didn't have any symptoms.
