Obviously hoping all was fine with the baby, which thankfully seems to be the case, but this came up as I was idily scrolling through my phone during a boring client meeting today and made me laugh out loud.

The air traffic controller's response, "this is totally new for us", is gold.

This is brilliant.

So heartwarming and refreshing that we are all pitching in with similar tales of forgetfulness and absentmindedness (sp?) and with no nastiness or shame flinging towards the original mother whatsoever.

Oh bloody hell - I didn't mean to kill the bleedin' thread. Hmm

Wasn't there a UK politician who left his baby at a service station?

I don't recall that but David Cameron left his daughter at a pub!

Cracked me up when I read this

I’ve luckily never forgot my dc but ds managed to wander off 6 months ago aged 3.

One minute he was there, next he was gone. I was a right sobbing mess. Everyone was so helpful though and he was quickly found at the other end of the shopping centre

These things happen

My mum left baby twins in a Silver Cross coach built twin pram outside a butchers and walked home with just me who was 2. She got in and realised she had left them behind. The butchers were frantic when she returned. How she walked past the pram given the size of it I don’t know!

Yes Cameron left his daughter at a pub. Hilariously this happened not long after he gave a speech about feckless parents behaving irresponsibly. Leaving your child behind after a boozy Sunday lunch despite probably having god knows how many security people to help out presumably doesn't fall under that category.

I'm now wondering how the other passengers on the Saudi mum's plane felt when it had to turn around to go and pick up the baby. Pissed off is probably an understatementGrin
