I've lost a three litre measuring jug.

HOW? Tiny flat. Was on the kitchen windowsill for the plants. I left it there and now it isn't there

Anyone else lost things too big to realistically lose?

I lose the unlosable all the time. And it does my head in trying to work out where it could be. Quite often hubby and I both do this at the same time and sometimes manage to find each other's stuff when we can't find our own.
Now I won't rest till I know where YOUR jug is.

My most useful kitchen equipment has a habit of disappearing to the garage.

I find it 6 months later coveted in oil/paint/mystery substance. Strangely, DH never knows anything about it.

I still can't find it will have to look more tomorrow...

It will be in the car/garage having been used to top up the screenwash (at least it would be in my house)

Oh I thought I was bad losing a potato masher. I only realised when I went to mash the potatoes for a cottage pie. Then I forgot to buy another one. Which I realised the next time I was making cottage pie

I agree with a PP, it's definitely in your bathroom cabinet! Used to fill the cistern after your H did a massive unflushable poo.

Where did you find the 1ltr one? Does it give you any hints of where you absently mindedly put things?

Check the cat.
If it appears to be surrounded by a forcefield it may be that it's sitting in the jug.

Have you checked the leftovers in the fridge?
Are any in a jug?

Is one of your plants stood in it?
