I've lost a three litre measuring jug.

HOW? Tiny flat. Was on the kitchen windowsill for the plants. I left it there and now it isn't there Confused

Anyone else lost things too big to realistically lose?

I lose the unlosable all the time. And it does my head in trying to work out where it could be. Quite often hubby and I both do this at the same time and sometimes manage to find each other's stuff when we can't find our own.
Now I won't rest till I know where YOUR jug is. Sad

My most useful kitchen equipment has a habit of disappearing to the garage.

I find it 6 months later coveted in oil/paint/mystery substance. Strangely, DH never knows anything about it. Hmm

SneakyGremlins · 11/03/2019 20:59

I still can't find it Sad will have to look more tomorrow...

It will be in the car/garage having been used to top up the screenwash (at least it would be in my house)

swampytiggaa · 11/03/2019 21:02

Oh I thought I was bad losing a potato masher. I only realised when I went to mash the potatoes for a cottage pie. Then I forgot to buy another one. Which I realised the next time I was making cottage pie Hmm

I bought a cheap one thinking it would turn up. It hasn’t.

I lost my can opener when my eldest took it to work...

DuchessOfPhysics · 11/03/2019 21:05

I agree with a PP, it's definitely in your bathroom cabinet! Used to fill the cistern after your H did a massive unflushable poo.

FlaviaAlbia · 11/03/2019 21:06

Where did you find the 1ltr one? Does it give you any hints of where you absently mindedly put things?

SneakyGremlins · 11/03/2019 21:07

It's just me and the cat. So hopefully nobody's been using it!

The 1L one WAS in the bathroom, behind the sink.

Have you asked the cat though? they can be sneaky bastards.

mistakenidentity1928 · 11/03/2019 21:10

I’ve lost my measuring jug today too (although I suspect DD) Grin

MajesticWhine · 11/03/2019 21:12

Garden / garage / outside cupboard?
Or maybe it is a container for a plant somewhere ?

BaronessBomburst · 11/03/2019 21:13

Check the cat.
If it appears to be surrounded by a forcefield it may be that it's sitting in the jug.

BaronessBomburst · 11/03/2019 21:15

Have you checked the leftovers in the fridge?
Are any in a jug?

DaffydownClock · 11/03/2019 21:20

Is one of your plants stood in it?
I'm another with a DH who 'borrows' euphemism for you'll never see it again things then denies having EVER seen it.
😡

SneakyGremlins · 11/03/2019 21:23

Not in the fridge!

Upon being taken in for questioning, cat opened one eye. He claims to be innocent.

It's going to turn up somewhere I didn't expect it to, isn't it?

OP posts:
sar302 · 11/03/2019 21:25

Are you using it as a vase?

StealthPolarBear · 11/03/2019 21:30

Are you holding it in the hand that's not typing

SneakyGremlins · 11/03/2019 21:32

It's not a vase - plants are too young!

Holding my phone with both hands Grin

GiveMeSteam · 11/03/2019 21:35

I smashed a 400ml measuring glass today, a really nice one Sad

Perhaps your jug has gone to the funeral?

GimmeBread · 11/03/2019 21:36

I lost a big bottle of Baileys. I found it again but that was a squeaky bum moment Smile

BaronessBomburst · 11/03/2019 21:36

It it, ahem, on the bedside cabinet?

GimmeBread · 11/03/2019 21:37

Freezer? Oven?

I'm always losing stuff and finding it in the oven.

SneakyGremlins · 11/03/2019 21:38

What are you suggesting, Baroness? Shock

OP posts:
BaronessBomburst · 11/03/2019 21:56

I'm suggesting that it may be on the bedside cabinet Gremlins.
Why?

SneakyGremlins · 11/03/2019 21:57

Well, it isn't....
