...with a broken leg??

Ds12 has a cast from above his knee to his toes. School is a 20 minute walk away and I don't drive. School are demanding he attends and I scrounge a lift for him or pay for a taxi everyday. I currently have £5 to my name so that's not going to happen.

Any ideas???

And a lot of 12 year olds would be quite hard to push, mine was very gangly at that age! Pushing wheelchairs is hard work, especially with people parking over dropped kerbs etc.

In fact the more I think about it the more likely I would be to contact the LA to see what they suggest (and also re risk assessment as PP mentioned).

My DD school have been great while she's been on crutches/leg brace, they have given her a lift pass and she's allowed out each class 5 mins early with a friend to get to next class to avoid being jostled. She coaches at PE for the time being, they've done their best not to exclude her.

I feel quite sorry for ds, he stayed in one room all day and hardly had any work.😕

Don't really see the point in making the effort

That's not acceptable. That suggests no plan or risk assessment

I wouldn't send him today.
