I've just bought a packet. I'm glad to read that they're nice.

LindaLa · 10/03/2019 13:58

Unfortunately they do contain palm fat.
What a shame.

@CountryPlumpkin
Any chance of the recipe being changed to not include orangutan?

Frangipane · 10/03/2019 14:03

Orangutan?! In hot cross buns? Whatever next?!

How? Is it a flavour or are there bits of rhubarb instead of currants?

MrsPerfect12 · 10/03/2019 14:16

Oooh must try these!

paxillin · 10/03/2019 14:18

I thought they are verboten before Good Friday and akin to Christmas puds in August?

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 10/03/2019 14:18

I bought these yesterday after seeing this thread and used them to make bread and butter pudding - split them, butter them, stick some apricot jam on them, put them in a dish and cover with custard, then bale for 30 mins. Heaven.

missmouse101 · 10/03/2019 14:22

Sounds lovely. But 'literally'? That's not what literally means. Hmm

TheHolySmirk · 10/03/2019 17:09

Yeah miss that absolutely didn't occur to anyone else on this thread at all.

Or perhaps they are just less anal, and better able to get the gist?

Idiot. Hmm

missmouse101 · 10/03/2019 18:14

Thanks very much for calling me an idiot.

Mmmhmmokdear · 10/03/2019 18:55

I got some with the shopping this week. I'm excited to try them!
