Shitty few days here so dinner tomorrow night is slow cooked garlic and chilli Bolognese with cheesy pasta.

What's your favourite comfort dish?

Spaghetti with tomato purée, oregano and cheddar cheese stirred in.

Cottage Pie

Macaroni Cheese

Oh and chips, fried rice and curry sauce from Chinese takeaway!

Braised steak and onion gravy, home made chips with bread and proper butter

If I’m hungover, Mary Berry’s tuna pasta bake is amazing...

Crumpets with the whole tub of PROPER butter !!

Get a bowl. Squash roast potatoes, layer with slightly undercooked Yorkshire puddings and stuffing. Then covered in liberal amounts of bisto.

Risotto with all the nice bits from the fridge/ freezer.

Rice pudding would be lovely, but we never have it in (h'm, maybe I'll buy some tomorrow, I'm not well and definitely need comfort food). A Marmite sandwich made with thick sliced very fresh white bread, and a fair amount of butter, often hits the spot.

Elzbells I want that RIGHT NOW

Scrambled eggs Asian style so add chopped onion, chilli, salt, pepper, pinch of curry powder, turmeric pinch & a handful of chopped coriander to the egg mix. Omg with white buttery toast, absolutely out of this world.

Cheese sandwich microwaved so soft and gooey. With crisps.

Tin of hotdogs piping hot in white baguette.

Cheese burger and chips from mcdonalds or takeaway.

Tub of taramasalata with pitta bread,feta cheese and salted crisps.

Hot corned beef pasty.

Chicken stew with dumplings and pearl barley. So old school but easy to make and tastes amazing

Jacket potato with loads of cheese,butter and salt

Homemade taco chips

Handcut chips, parboiled and then in the oven til crispy, topped with grated cheese, homemade chilli mince and then topped with loads of taco sauce

A mountain of potatoes and carrots mashed with olive oil and black pepper topped with a baked-bean filled crater

Ims where do you live that proper butter even comes in a tub?

@tinkylittlelaugh In Kent... farmshops get REAL PROPER butter from local dairy farms it still comes in tubs ...
You can buy some online too ... Plurenden milk . Not sure if allowed to link so didn't
