Kittens, what happened to his fingers?

chesterfuckingdraws · 06/03/2019 20:29

I did this 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was about 8/9 and wondered if
A) a staple would go through my finger
B) it would hurt!
I put my index finger under the stapler and pushed with all my weight!

I can confirm it did go through my finger and it did bloody hurt!

My mum had to take me to the children's hospital to get them to remove it. Finger throbbed for a few days.

My 5 year old DD hole punched her finger last year (when she was 4)
I got a phone call from school about that one... she was fine. It had just cut her finger a bit in a neat circle. Plaster and telling her not to be so silly worked.

@cheerybigbottom
He's a bit standoffish with the stapler now 😂😂😂

I once got a call to come to A&E and meet my high school boyfriend (he was 17) who had been messing around with his colleagues on a building site (they were builders, and the rest were grown ass men adults) because they'd been shooting each other with nail guns. Dear boyfriend has a three inch nail through his left testicle.

He's fathered two since then, thankfully not with me.

I've just cuddled tiny DS and made him promise he will be more cautious.

NewYorker - I did it too, to see what would happen. Except I was 22 and an NQT teaching in school at the time 😂

ninja · 06/03/2019 22:04

No one else admitting to doing it as an adult?

@INeedNewShoes haha!! Brilliant! We were at my grandads and my dad was shouting at him about getting a first aid kit and he didn't have one so my dad went to go and got some pliers out of his tool kit and took it out whilst muttering about me being an idiot but when he realised I could hear him he was nice and told me I wasn't in trouble. Up til the point I said 'oh daddy I've also got spots' and that was when he realised I had chicken pox for the second time 😂

Mum was on a hen do and he rang her about my spots and later she told me she said 'well what do you want me to do? If it's chicken pox it's chicken pox I'm out and she'll be fine' 😂

DrMadelineMaxwell · 06/03/2019 23:01

Yep, I also stapled my own thumb when I was that age.

Twice.

Mind you, as an adult I also managed to pour an entire bottle of nail varnish in my eye.

Fruitbatdancer · 06/03/2019 23:08

When we were 13 my friend pierced her own nipple in art class with a needle from the textiles room.
We were hardcore in the 90’s. Still makes me want to 🤮 remembering it.
