Oh and I've recently discovered The Good Place so would add practically every character but especially Tahani ( I may actually be in love with Jameela Jamil) and Michael.

Barbara from The Good Life, in fact the whole gang.

Granville and Arkwright from Open All Hours, and the character known as the Black Widow, can't recall her name.

The main characters in All Creatures Great and Small.

Ben and Chris (Parks and Rec)

Fleabag! She was on tv last night and is hilarious!

BrinkPink · 05/03/2019 17:51

Mrs Doyle! Just genius writing and acting.

Also love Michael Palin as Pontius Pilate in the Life of Brian - that's one of my favourite comedy scenes ever.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 05/03/2019 18:09

Alan Partridge
Ashley and Jerwayne from PhoneShop
Karen and Jack
Ted Crilly
Ron Swanson
Councilman Jeremy Jamm (P&R)
Moss
Vince Noir/Howard Moon
Bernard Black
Guy Secretan
Vanessa Shanessa Jenkins
Pete and Dawn
Doris ( next door to Gwen)
Charles Boyle from B99
Norman Stanley Fletcher
Rigby
Jill from Nighty Night

So many! Often the funniest lines are from supporting cast - when they are given a whole show of their own it almost always tanks.

@Bluestitch

"Niles Crane and Frasier Crane"

I've watch them again and again. They repeat at 9.30 or something each week day and I get one day off a week and watch all the episodes, two or three. I know it by heart but I love it.

My favourites are Niles proposing to Daphne because he thinks she is pregnant (at the Halloween party) and Niles going to the sperm bank to get his sperm back!

Italiangreyhound · 06/03/2019 02:21

And I like Penny from Big Bang Theory.

Lweji · 06/03/2019 15:12

Blackadder

DarkDarkNight · 06/03/2019 17:01

George Costanza, and his Dad too.

Who is your favourite comedy character?
DarkDarkNight · 06/03/2019 17:07

I adore Frasier as well Italiangreyhound and also watch the C4 repeats, it’s just perfect and so clever.

I can remember when it first started and my Uncle telling my Dad how funny it was. I liked Cheers but Frasier went over my head when I was young and I didn’t get it.

AliceAforethought · 06/03/2019 17:57

Homer Simpson, Sideshow Bob and Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons
Niles Crane
Chris Traeger, Ron Swanson and Andy Dwyer from Parks and Rec
Fathers Ted, Dougall and Jack
Hal and Reece from Malcolm in the Middle
Peter and Chris Griffin from Family Guy.

JeremyIronsBenFolds · 06/03/2019 18:08
