But no, ten shots of vodka wouldn’t have me horrifically drunk. The glasses you get from supermarkets (if they’re the kind I’m picturing) aren’t huge at all.

What's the issue here? She's 19, an adult, and said she felt fine? Exactly why are you asking fandoms on the internet and how does their opinions. Count versus your own adult child who can drink as much or as little as she pleases?

The little Tesco ones are 25ml, so equivalent to just under four pints of beer or a bottle of wine. Over three hours that's like a pint or a small glass of wine every 45 mins.

I could have managed that and been 'merry' at 19 (uni drinking culture). We'd drink a bottle of wine each before we went out!

I'd be pissed these days though.

When I was nineteen and drank often I could drink 8 shots of tequila with no major effort. Now, one knocks me on my ass. Is she drinking quite frequently lately?

I don't drink vodka anymore as I just don't feel the effects until the morning 🤢 so yes, I'd be fine after 10 of those little plastic shot glasses on a full stomach. By fine, I mean not slurring or falling down, I'd still be pissed though.

Why do you need to ask? She's an adult who live away from you. If she was totally drunk you would've been able to tell when she told you, so she clearly isn't.

In general though, different drinks have different strengths and effects and different people react to them differently. I rarely drink but can have several Sambuca shots and just be happy (and possibly a bit dafter then usual) but give me a glass or two of red wine with a meal and I'll be slurring way before dessert arrives!

In my young days I could have easily drank that amount and been slightly drunk and been able to wake up fresh as a daisy after a few hours sleep.

Now it would probably leave me unconscious.

Depends on body mass really. If your DD happens to be 7ft tall and built like a larger rugby player then probably not.

I would be out cold though.

Nothing to do with body mass. When I was drinking, I would easily do 10 shots vodka, whisky or tequila over 3 hours and be fine. I was 5ft 3 and around 7 stone.

Do you mean those little plastic coloured party shot glasses? They’re tiny! I think 3/4 of those is a normal sized shot for me so no 10 of those wouldn’t do much to me.

10 normal shots now I’d definitely be tipsy.
