Where do you buy clothes for your preenagers?

DD is 10 but looks much older, she's 5ft 4 already and very slim. She's outgrown most of her clothes so I'm constantly having to buy for her. Bottoms are fine but she's really fussy with tops. At the moment we shop at H&M, New Look, Zara, Mango and get some bits from Ebay. We had a good look around the shops yesterday and came away with very little. Any ideas would be good. TIA

Mainly H&M tbh. The odd thing from Primark. But yeah it’s tricky.

Primark?

DD loves Super Dry and also has the occassional trip to Jack Wills (but only for their sales as they're not cheap)

Actually does she like any sports brands? Dd loves a bit of Adidas, Nike, Hype, that kind of thing.

My 11 year old daughter likes boohoo , she fits a size 4 in their clothing. She's about the same height as your daughter and is very dainty too.

Aaahhhh. I have this to “look forward” to. I hace always bought DS’s clothes, but he recently took a pair of scissors to his jeans and told me he wanted to choose his own cool clothes from now on. He’s 10 and a half.

Thank you... some of the clothes in her size are so grown up, luckily she's not into them. She has a disco next week and she really wanted a top to wear and we couldn't find anything. I avoided Primark mainly because the one on Oxford Street is so busy and hideous I couldn't cope Wink

My 11 year old gets tops from H&M (mainly baseball type tshirts), t-shirts and checked shirts from Primark. The odd tshirt/hoody from Jack Wills/ Hollister - bought in the sale or handed down from her big sister. She also has a collection of Marvel, 80s film t-shirts mainly bought from Amazon.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 04/03/2019 14:08

H&M or Next I tend to look at for my nephew who's of that age

Enb76 · 04/03/2019 14:09

Zara mainly. She's not old enough or really mature enough to carry off young adult stuff. We can find enough quirky bits in Zara though. Also, John Lewis concession stuff, H&M on the very odd occasion. Our main issue is finding jeans. She can't bear tight jeans, still needs adjustable waists as she has no bum to speak of and length is an issue for size for legs as well as arms - she's my little spider. 4'6", size 5 feet, grew 2cm in a month and a half.

megletthesecond · 04/03/2019 14:10

H&M, basically.

Lurkeycakewoman · 04/03/2019 14:11

Mostly the same shops as you but matalan isn't too bad for some bits

BeekyChitch · 04/03/2019 14:13

Boohoo.com if online Or Primark, H&M, new look and River Island If out at the shops.

Thank you. Enb76 my DD is the same - Gap do boyfriend fit jeans which are not so skinny.
