Recommend me some headphones/earphones

I think I should probably get some Bluetooth earphones (or maybe headphones? But what if they get wet?) for running.
I'd also like something a bit more comfy for wearing in bed - I quite like to listen to something relaxing if I wake up at night but turning over on the earphones is really not conducive to sleep.

I bought some Anker Soundcore Liberty Lite earbuds from amazon for £54 recently and am really pleased with them. Today when I went to the wheelie bin at the end of my back garden I realised that my phone was upstate the front of the house and my podcast was still playing on the ear buds!

Upstairs 😳!

Ooh those look good but maybe a bit beyond my price range. As we have young DCs at home, I only really listen to music on the bus or while running (or in bed). Maybe I'm being unrealistic?

I know drs, I did buy a cheaper pair for £16 that looked like the apple ones but returned them because they didn’t sync, they have been withdrawn from amazon so I guess they were rubbish!

I took a deep breath and ordered the Anker ones

The soft headband with inbuilt flat speakers is great for listening to go to sleep in. Bluetooth as well.
Or the Apple Bluetooth wireless ear/air pods (is that their name?) - look silly, but sound good and battery lasts with the little carry case.

I'm a recent convert to bone conducting headphones. The sound may not be as amazing as others but like being able to hear traffic.

Have a look on Amazon, there will be plenty of reviews on there. Don't be afraid of brands you've not heard of, I've had everything from Sennheiser (always reliable), Bose (in ear headphones not worth nearly their value) and am currently using some £12 ones from a random name. Honestly, they're no different. I don't have Bluetooth ones so can't recommend a particular pair.

Can you use the Apple Bluetooth earphones with an Android?
DH has some and likes them.

I've just got some bone conducting headphones too (Aftershockz Titanium) and I love them. The sound is excellent and I love not having cable flapping about when I am running, and also being able to hear the road etc. The Aftershockz range are most waterproof/sweatproof. Admitedly, I've only ever spent about £5 on earphones before, so most things were going to be an improvement.

I also like the bone conduction headphones, because I appear to have tiny ear canals, and earphones always fall out.

fedup2017 · 02/03/2019 20:55

I agree with bone conducting for running. I'm a complete convert. Aftershokz are a great brand. I like being able to hear traffic/ people. Also allowed in some races when other headphones are banned.
No good to use in bed though

Bose sound good but the quality isn't great. I had to replace mine 3 times as they didn't last long. Apple ear pods are very good.
