Bumble bee in house! Now??

Right, the kids have found what looks like a fluffy bumble bee , but it's black all over
. Still a bee?

I would normally chuck it outside but it feels pretty cold and very windy - don't want to shock it after nice warm house! I've plopped it into a case of daffs butvrrally, is it best outside?

Assuming it is a bee, don't want to harm the important bees!

Advice very welcome!
Thanks

Any bee I find indoors at this time of year I leave. On a warm sunny day I will put it on my garden table with a plate of sugar water (2 spoonfuls sugar, 1 water) and they normally take off some little while later.

Please don't 'chuck it outside'

Presumably it came in from outside in the first place? It’ll die trapped in the house. I’ve seen a few bees outside recently so they are out and about.

I won't! Chuck was tongue in cheek. Most in the summer are stuck in a window. It's in a bunch flowers and someone else has suggested making it a nest (toilet tube with some cotton wool, stones, bit of fruit, sugar water. But at the minute it still in kitchen.... happy to leave it there but wasn't sure if it was best out or not!

Poor little bee.

I did see some bumbles out this week. Don't know what you can do with yours though, sorry.

Window open too

I had a wasp last week

Offer sugar water. I found one staggering round the conservatory last week. Boy, it sucked up huge amounts of sugar water (I mean, on a miniature scale) and buggered off soon after.

Three days ago I was having lunch in the garden in a t shirt, and a peacock butterfly landed on the table. In February, in Scotland!
Global warming is getting serious...

Feed it some liquid off the top of some jam.

Make it a nest and put it somewhere dry and sheltered outside. A small terracotta plant pot is good. Stuff it with straw or shredded paper.

Ooh I had fly into mine the other morning. It seemed to make a bee line for me. I actually thought I could feel it crawling on my face
I'm terrified of them.

Yes like that! DecumusScotti. I don't know how to tag, sorry!
