Bloody hell - a tin of Heinz beans isn’t what it was, is it?

I had to add a good squirt of brown sauce and a dollop of salt just so I could taste anything!

Is this due to some sort of health drive? Seems counterproductive to me, if so - I never used to put salt on my food.

DS is always rolling his eyes at me when I complain about how things don’t taste how they used to, but I swear they don’t! He reckons my tastebuds have gone decrepit, the cheeky bugger.

So, is it me, or do some things taste blander now?

And can anyone recommend beans that don’t taste of nothing?

Ah... micro pots.... I don’t like them... they always look a funny colour too!

I agree that Pot Noodles are absolutely awful - not something I’d eaten sincerely student days but I thought DS would enjoy the novelty for the odd quick tea - he took one bite and pushed them away which I was secretly pleased with as I remembered the amazingly salty flavourful pot of disgustingness they used to be. Well the bland slop that hit my mouth was the worst disappointment ever.

I also just had a can of pop that tasted unbelievablely amazing - the secret it is was imported stuff from a bargain shop and not some so-called healthy reformulated crap. So fruity and delicious!

I’ve just had some Heinz spaghetti hoops for lunch and they were totally tasteless -so disappointing as I’m hungover and really wanted them!

I wonder if imported baked beans are nice?

I stopped buying Heinz once I had Branston. They're like Heinz used to be, thicker sauce, more beans and tasty!

This is exactly my point, MrsAmaretto

Sometimes health just doesn’t hit the spot. Sometimes, only crap will do. Proper crap, with salt and sugar, dammit.

I have Aldi Asian Noodles (I think that’s what the are called). Nicer than a pot noodle and much lower in fat.
