I can’t tolerate alcohol any more

I am now in my fifties - I very rarely drink alcohol any more, but every now and then forget why that is.

Last night I went wild, and had one drink - very edgy, an advocat and lemonade. Grin

Up twice to pee, very busy random dreams so I felt I didn’t sleep, then awake before 7am on a Saturday.

It’s really not on! Anyone else?

Im the same at 43. 1 nice glass of red and I sleep rubbish. I spend the next day tired, restless, crabby and dehydrated. 2019 Ive had no alcohol..... I may stay that way. Yet in my 20`s I drank like a fish, never hungover!

The next day just seems an awful waste of a day. I`ll stick to a cup of tea :)

Me. Same age as OP. Can’t tolerate alcohol at all anymore so I just don’t bother, and I don’t miss it. Except maybe on a summer early evening when the beer garden beckons. But even then it’s a fleeting fancy, as the memory of quite how shit it makes me feel means I soon get over it! Been a non-drinker for two years now.

Big fan of Fever-Tree tonic now.
