Collapsed corpus luteum

Went to the hospital Saturday as I was feeling pressure in my lower abdomen. No pain or bleeding but just wanted to get checked out. I did a urine sample and was diagnosed with a UTI and was given antibiotics. I was asked for a blood sample to check my hcg levels were doubling as they should over 48hrs. I got my result Sunday and my level was 863 then went back to give more blood on Monday and my level went up to 1765. I was then called in for a scan today to make sure its growing in the right place and they confirmed there is a gestation sac and yolk sac in the correct place but only 4.5-5 weeks pregnant so too early to see fetal pole. Whilst I was there the sonographer told me a had a collapsed corpus luteum and said I have to go back in 2 weeks for another scan. She kept wishing me good luck and didn't really explain anything so I got a second opinion from a doctor and a different sonographer who advised the collapsed corpus luteum shouldnt have even been documented at this stage and not to worry they will. Know of the the pregnancy is progressing nice at my next scan. I can't help but worry that this pregnancy will not progress as I read many many articles today that suggest it's not possible without the hormones from the corpus luteum. Can anyone shed more light please as I'm going to be going out of my mind for the next 2 weeks

I'm not sure if what im going to tell you will be helpful.
I had an ovarian torsion caused by a corpus luteum cyst in early pregnancy i had to have emergency surgery and they had to remove the corpus luteum cyst in order to save my ovary.
Consultant told me about its role for the hormones of the pregnancy he said it could all be fine as i was 7/8 weeks pregnant and around the stage the placenta takes over and really it could have been fine regardless but as a precaution he put me onto progesterone which i had to take until 16 weeks of pregnancy. If you've got an opinion from a doctor tho i would imagine that would be fine to follow their advice, if u are concerned seek another opinion or see if they will do another 48 hour blood draw to put your mind at rest. Hope it all goes well for you
