How can I securely store customer alarm codes?

I run a business where I need access to customer homes. I have a safe to store keys in, and customer keys are labelled in a way which means they cannot be linked to the home that they are for.

I am visiting two prospective customers next week who have burglar alarms. They will be telling me their alarm codes.

Can anyone suggest a secure way of recording these please.

Thanks mumsnet.

I keep alarm and PIN codes hidden in phone contacts with made up code names. The last 4 digits are the relevant ones

There are apps that can store passwords securely on phones. Have you looked for something like that?

It depends on how much you need access to them I have a similar issue where I have to have access to lots of cold on a daily basis so I need to keep them with me so they're stored in the notes section on my phone memory but in such a fashion that I have to change them slightly for them to work I think of it possibly either or backwards or one number higher or one number lower than the actual code just remember how you store them

make sure you have the ability to store the data off any individual device in case of loss/theft/failure.

Store them on your phone - KeePassDroid app

Written down in a card index box kept in a different safe to the keys.

Number the keys and store the alarm codes by number elsewhere. Without the address, it's not useful info
