So. My son has been diagnosed with migraines. He is 15.

Can I have tips on foods and things to avoid. Doctor says it is trial and error for what triggers it. But. If I can rule out the obvious ones first that would help.

What causes your kids or ur migraines. This has kind of thrown me a bit. So currently trying to gain as much information as I can to help him. So any advice from a real person who deals with this or helps their child with this would be a huge help.

DD’s triggers are

Dehydration
Insufficient sleep
Stress e.g. exams
Light flicker e.g. from some strip lighting/light bulbs
Strobe lighting/flashing lights
Periods (not relevant to your DS)

She takes a preventative and has ibuprofen granules. She has also found that a sugary expresso coffee helps in an emergency.

Some of my migraines are preceded by auras/visual distortion. I get an wavy line or oil slick type thing that starts in one eye and moves across my field of vision. If I get one of these I can sometimes prevent a full blown migraine, so maybe get him to look out for something like that.

Also anti blue light glasses for when he’s gaming?

Sorry to hear about your son.
Yes, there is some research behind coenzyme Q10, and also, a water and fat-soluble form absorbs better.
