I am good on music, ok on geography and current affairs. Ok on Premier league and World Cup football.
Please share random/useless facts that may be in a quiz?

South Africa does not have a capital city.

Sort of... it has three. Cape Town, as the seat of Parliament, is the legislative capital; Pretoria, as the seat of the President and Cabinet, is the administrative capital; and Bloemfontein, as the seat of the Supreme Court of Appeal, is the judicial capital.

Yes Hefzi, well done, basically because so many men were killed in the genocide.

Hefzi · 28/02/2019 20:46

That was just a wild guess TaMereAPoilDevantPrisu! I didn't realise it was connected with the genocide, though that makes perfect sense now you've explained it. Thank you!

What is unique about Hull City FC?

It's the only team in any English Football league which doesn't contain any letters you can colour in.

It may amaze you to know that my DDad got this question right at our PTA quiz, and won us the game. Thanks old boy Grin

Random Fact ;

The table consisting of balding men wearing pilot frame spectacles and beige jackets will contest at least one answer per round and, if you walk past their table to go to the toilet/bar, will throw themselves over the answer sheet in case you get to see one of their answers to the picture round.

The Nylon naming is a myth. It isn't a contraction of New York and London.

www.timelessmyths.co.uk/where-does-name-nylon-originate.html

The tiebreaker question I got asked at a quiz once (tiny village pub in the middle of nowhere who unbeknownst to them had a chemist in their midst) was:

What does DNA stand for? Deoxyribonucleic Acid.

Kneehigim · 01/03/2019 06:10

PseudoBadger · 01/03/2019 07:23
