What's the longest period you've been off work

I've had two lots of sick leave. Ten weeks with a broken leg and currently five months with mental health problems.

Two weeks for tonsils

Two years for babies

16 weeks last year for maternity leave.

Six months unemployed 20 years ago when I was in my late teens. Three weeks post gallbladder removal. Eleven months maternity leave, two weeks sciatica.

3 months between jobs about 20 years ago!

Longest sick leave was six weeks with flu. It was utterly horrific.

I went back to work a stone and a half lighter and I had been a slim size 8 beforehand. Took me three to four months longer to get over it and not be exhausted.

I have the jab religiously ever since!

Outwith maternity, 5 weeks signed off with stress due to my managers bullying. I was the third to go off and the 5th to leave because of her. Although it took me 9 months to leave because I'm a stubborn fucker.

7 weeks.. a virus that hit my neurological system and rendered me unable to walk, balance etc. Very scary as I'm usually quite stoic (3 days when my Dad died... 4 weeks after a hysterectomy in a physical job)

3 months mat leave, 4 months waiting for a work permit after moving to the US, and odd weeks/ months here and there while travelling Australia, because I only needed to work a bit to pay bills and lived off savings the rest of the time.

5 years + had MH issues that im still dealing with and im pregnant, so can't work atm. And all the jobs I've been involved with have either been agency, zero hours or part time... Very hard to get FT job in London without the right mixture of qualifications and experience.

2 weeks with kidney infection

2.5 weeks with SPD during pregnancy before i was put on codine and couldnt get up the stairs to the office then 8 months maternity leave

1.5 years off maternity first DC
4 months off with my back
1 year maternity with second DC
