There are so many! Looking at all the oral b ones ranging from £20 to £120 and don't know what the difference is and how much I should spend

I have been sat here for an hour trying to remember what I wanted to look up reviews on this afternoon. It was oral B toothbrushes, thank you for reminding me Grin

You're welcome quirky! Can you let me know your verdict once you've read them all? 😂

Dentist recommended oral b, with pressure sensor as a lot of people press too hard on gums. Also one with a built in timer which I think all oral b ones are. Not sure if boots still have sale on oral b brushes, worth a look!

I had a relatively cheap oral b one for Christmas (I know it must have been because my parents budget is £30 and it was from them!)- it has a pressure sensor, rechargeable battery etc. Not sure what a £100 one could possibly do any different tbh. I am actually thrilled with the difference in the whiteness of my teeth compared to a manual.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 23/02/2019 18:01

Oh and it has a timer, it does a little stop/start motion every 30 seconds.

Braun Oral B : anything above 2000 . You really only need the basic function.

TwinkleTits70 · 23/02/2019 18:05

DH has an Oral B and I have a Philips Sonic one. We both love them. Look out for deals on Amazon and Boots etc....
Replacement heads cost should also be factored in.

DragonMamma · 23/02/2019 18:06

I have this one www.boots.com/electrical/electrical-dental/electric-toothbrushes/oral-b-pro-2000-rechargeable-electric-toothbrush-powered-by-braun-10176433

I love it. I’ve had mine a couple of years now and the charge isn’t as good so I may replace soon.

I think the key is to make sure you buy Oral B replacement heads and not the knock offs. They always seem expensive but a 4 pack (usually around £20) will last you the year.

I hate manual brushes now, my teeth feel really unclean if I ever use one.

Both of my DC have electric toothbrushes too - I wouldn’t use anything else for them.

When i got mine the dentist said not to waste money in the higher prices ones. The £20 one is more than adequate. Speak to your dentist, mine gave me a half price voucher to get one. Was a while back though.

QuirkyQuark · 23/02/2019 18:23

shake I'm probably going to get the oral b 2000 one, it's on offer in Asda for £35. My old oral b one is coming up to 5 years old and not holding its charge well now. I've only ever had that brand.

shakeapoo · 23/02/2019 22:08

I've done the same quirky thanks!

I have the Genius 8000, it has been brilliant really reduced the cleaning i need at the dentist and I get complimented each time I go. Replacement heads tend to work out about £2-3 each from amazon or boots/Superdrug when on offer.
