DD wants to go to a water park, can any one recommend which is better put of eater world or splash landings?

2 older dc who can swim confidently and love slides and one younger dc age 6 who isn't quite there yet.

Are we talking about water world in Stoke? Very grotty. I can't believe that people travel so far for it

Rhyl Suncentre, oh those were the days.

Haven’t been to Waterworld in years but it was grubby and run down then. I doubt it’s improved.

waterworld is disgusting. filthy and the water is freezing. splash landings, doncaster dome and sandcastle are all great. Also calypso cove in Barnsley is nice too. seriously avoid waterworld though!

We've been to Waterworld, it was OK, but since Southport's Splashworld is a lot closer we have been there many more times.

We get there early to get the flume rides "done" while it's at its quietest, although it doesn't get so busy you're waiting for ages. There are flumes with rings as well as the three enclosed ones with varying rates of speed; I go for the family one as I like the pretty lights inside it, DH and DS like the faster ones.

Water is clean, changing cubicles and lockers in good state of repair.

We haven't tried the Sandcastle in Blackpool but DS really loves waterparks, so we'll probably give it a try this year...

(I remember the Sun Centre in Rhyl, the water had bits of debris from the cafe in it and was murky; visibility underwater was less than 6 feet Shock)

Only been once to the Southport one about 10 years ago but it wasn't very clean generally and I haven't wanted to go back. Same experience in the Stoke Waterworld one.
The only decent & clean ones IMO are Blackpool's Sandcastle & Splash Landings- been many times to both.
