Woman stripping off and changing in public area of swimming pool

So I took the kids swimming today. It was packed. There was a woman there in an extremely small bikini for her size of breast and she spent the time swapping between holding them in and letting them out. It caused quite a stir in the pool with the boys circling her. When we came out, the changing rooms were packed. I waited in the corridor that leads to the changing rooms for my kids ( they are teens) and she stripped naked in front of everyone , dried herself and got dressed. I ended up going to speak to the staff who came out and spoke to her but she was cross with them. She did not care that young children, teenage boys and adult men were all walking through . WWY have done?

What do you mean by this?

Interesting seeing the comments about Germany. When we moved to Germany I remember being surprised seeing adults strip off next to the lake and put their swimming stuff on. No fuss, or parading about or anything like that- just undressed and re-dressed and off for a swim. No looks, no stares, no big deal. I think they have a much healthier attitude to nudity.

greendale17 · 22/02/2019 22:53

I would've done what you did. She's clearly an exhibitionist and all the people around her used as props to enable her to get her kicks

^I agree. She did it on purpose for the attention

Her bikini top was way too small so her breasts kept popping out and then she would put them back in. The pool was packed. I didn't see any staff intervene in the pool. There was a lot of people talking about it but no one said anything to the staff

Ok, thanks for explaining

It is interesting about Germany which was why I was after a sense check. I'm not prudish about nudity but it did all feel a bit odd

Being an exhibitionist is fine. But not around kids. That's crossing into very unsavoury territory.

I'd have done the same, OP.

Exactly why I mentioned it .

Having spent some time there studying, there is such a better attitude towards it . Children are not brought up in a culture of nudity being shameful . Just a part of life .

Also someone compare this to a man swinging their bits around . Getting changed is hardly swinging ones bits around .

Also the OP didn't state were they were hence my comment ;)

why is it "unsavoury" to be naked around kids?

Muddysnowdrop · 22/02/2019 23:17

Of course it’s unsavoury to be naked around “young children, teenage boys and adult men” - unless perhaps in a culture where this is the done thing, which is clearly isn’t in London. What you describe seems so unusual and out of order that it seems amazing you would question whether it was ok, OP. Like, really amazing.

IncrediblySadToo · 22/02/2019 23:19

It wouldn’t bother me, male or female, with the kids or on my own. It’s a body, we all have them...the kids are aware we all have bodies ‍🤷🏻‍♀️

Years ago late one night in the gym a man got into the swimming pool naked. I was the only one in the pool apart from him. Then he went back in the changing room. I went in the jacuzzi, he came back out and got in the jacuzzi and started wanking.

I didn't tell the gym staff about that actually!

ShadyLady53 · 22/02/2019 23:29

Only on Mumsnet would this not raise an eyebrow.

It’s illegal to be naked in public in this country. If you intentionally expose yourself to a child then there is a good chance that you will end up on the sex offender’s register.

It’s completely inappropriate for an adult to be exposing themselves in a public place with lots of children around.

I agree the responses would have been very different if it was a man getting his todger out.

She was in the wrong and should have been asked to leave.

Was this a trans person?

This is some sort of “gotcha” isn’t it? Not exactly sure how it works, but I suspect that the intended pay off is either “Hah, told you Mumsnet hate men” or “Hah- that proves Mimsnetters are all transphobic”

danceyourselfsilly · 23/02/2019 23:09

I am proud and unsavoury then
