Leasing on from the Secret Room thread, has anyone ever found anything strange inntheir attic? Old Wedding dress etc.
In my childhood home I remember finding a Victorian baby walker type thing.

some old victorian child's sailing boats, ( we sold these for decent money) old cinema posters, a whole load of SNP election leaflets from the 1960's, lots and lots of dried hydrangea heads, a WWII naval cap, old Edwardian sheet music, every returned cheque they previous owners ever had ( back in 1960's cheques were returned as evidence once cashed by recipient )

We DID find an old dolls house in our attic!
Strangely it was far too big to get through the attic hatch, so we had to just leave it there.
Still there when we sold the house.

Grinstarfish. I found most fascinating book called 'how to run your 1930s home' in the attic. It's fantastically sexist and classist and makes me laugh everytime. Lots of advice on 'how to admonish the daily servants' but also adverts for mortgage for a semi detached house for 11k. Oh and also when we pulled up the lino under the crappy carpets they'd lined it with dozens of womens own mags from 1932. I did not get anything done that day reading them all.

@starfishmummy have you seen the missing ironing board thread?
