What colour should I go for? Massive plea for help.....

I am an interior design Fuckwit. Useless with colours, textures etc etc.

Finally (after 7 years of faffing living here) I have bought some new bedroom furniture and I love it. I now need to replace the old spare-room curtains, which don't even fit, are totally the wrong colour and having been hanging badly at the window all this time.

Also probably need few cushions, maybe a rug?

And then I stop. No fucking idea. I cannot even work out what colour would look good. I dream of greys and duck egg and teal - but with the wooden floors and furniture even I know (with my fuckwittery) that it will not go.

So oh wise MNetters - what colour should I do? Any curtain fabric/rug/accessories suggestions very gratefully received......

Lovely room. Get some floor length curtains, cushions and some artwork on the wall.

An abstract canvas in grey/duck egg would be nice. Squares or rectangles if possible. Floor length curtains in duck egg, plus cushions/rug in duck egg/grey. Lovely windows.

What size bed is that? It looks huge!
