If your DC goes to uni, when do they stop getting glasses on NHS?

I've rung 3 opticians and got some wild answers from receptionists. "It depends on the course, you need to ask the uni". "Uni is full time education so they get it free till they leave".

Even the NHS site is not clear.

With dental, I think its free up to 19 even if they are at uni.

So if your child is under 19 but at uni, do they still qualify for free/subsidised NHS sight tests and glasses? Lay some advice on me MN.

www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/help-with-health-costs/free-nhs-eye-tests-and-optical-vouchers/#criteria this suggests it ends after you turn 19 if you have been in full time education

Thanks demented I've looked at that, but its the issue of "full time education" - how is that classified, I don't mean the number of hours, but I am sure that university isn't classified as full time education.

So for example, child benefit stops in August if your child starts uni in September.
