Which wireless earbuds do you have?

Would you recommend them?

I'm after a pair rather than wired earphones so I don't keep catching the bloody wire but haven't really got a clue about them Confused.

Bonus points for budget price but decent quality Smile

Got mine from amazon - less than £20. Soundbuds I think they're called. No complaints. Good for noise cancelling.

Had a pair of Beats earbuds. Good while they lasted (6 month)

Now have Sennheiser sport. So far 6months so very very good

Both good for noise canx

I used to have ones linked by a wire, Backbeat Go ones. They worked really well. A few years later I fancied an upgrade to completely wireless separate earbuds and used Xmas money from my parents to treat myself to a set of Jabra elite to get rid of the wire round the back of my neck.
To be honest I'm disappointed, as although the sound and interface is great and they look fab, the signal cuts out unless I'm actually holding my phone in my hand at waist height, especially in areas with lots of other signals, like busy traffic lights or pedestrianised shopping streets. Having googled, it appears to be a frequent issue with non linked ear buds as there's just not enough room for sufficiently powerful kit inside them. With the linked ones I could put my phone in my bag and have no problems.
So I'd say try the Backbeat Go if they're in your budget.

My first were Jamm (sold by Ocado for about £20) and they're really good.

I stopped using them only because I upgraded to bone-conducting ones.

eggsandwich · 22/02/2019 09:30

Not budget ones but I brought a pair of beats from John Lewis for christmas they were on offer at £92 should of been £129.99 she has said they’re really good and the ear buds are magnetic so when they’re not in use they connect together.

AuntieStella · 22/02/2019 09:34

And following on from what Ohthepressure said, Jabra is primarily a sports brand, so is targeted for those who have their phone in an arm holder or belt at the waist, not necessarily buried in other pockets and bags.

I only ever used the earbuds from a running belt, so I'm not sure how well they perform otherwise. What do you want yours for?

Madhousemam · 22/02/2019 10:31

I have jabera t60 I think they are and there amazing I use them for everything from watching Netflix on my tablet to watching sky on my tv when dh is asleep to listening to music when dog walking I normally have my phone by my leg as wear combat type trousers when dog walking and have never lost connection and the range is really good I can use them all over my 3 bed house and bigish garden with out loosing range

lucysmam · 22/02/2019 11:38

@AuntieStella walking too and from work mainly. I usually end up with the wire dangling outside my bag so it doesn't get caught up on things but then pull the right one out of my ear constantly.

I'm intrigued by bone conducting ones. They sound fancy.

I have never heard of bone conducting ones either.

Angie169 · 22/02/2019 12:28

Not ear buds but full headphones tectronics ( not sure about the spelling ) they were a gift so not sure on the price but around £40 I think.

Fantastic battery life, I use mine every weekday for about 3 hours and 5 ish hours at weekend I have only just had to charge them for a second time since I got them at Xmas.
They come in a sturdy case, the only slight down side is they are a bit bulky if you want to put them in the case and then in your bag. ( I have a rucksack so not a issue for me )

lucysmam · 22/02/2019 22:23

Huh, well, I googled bone conducting earphones and had a look at your link @FinallyHere, might be worth living with the wire and saving a while maybe?

I'll have to do some more research before I buy now :)

Apple Airbuds here. I love them.

lucysmam · 22/02/2019 22:36

@carrie74 I was talking to dd1 earlier about them earlier, on our way home, and she suggested apple ones. The price is a bit offputting though (and would they work with a Samsung?)
