She does sleep for longer periods of up to two hours eventually after 20 billion resettles!
Never a great sleeper but she was at the point of going to sleep on her own, sleeping 2-3 hours and having a quick feed 2-3 times a night and then immediately falling back asleep on her own. I didn't mind the night feeds because it was all so quick and easy.
For the last two weeks she's gone to sleep on her own at 7 as usual (ish - I have to go and pop her back down and encourage her to lie down as otherwise she will cruise around for a while but this has been the case for a few months) but then wakes around 10, has her feed and then fidgets and fidgets and then screams before going back to sleep and repeating 5-10 mins later on a cycle of up to 3 hours before her next 2 hour block of sleep (or 1 hour if it's nearer morning).
It did coincide with a virus initially and bed sharing and cuddling helped when she was unwell but it doesn't now as she just rolls backwards and forwards in the same way like she can't get comfy and ends up screaming. Sometimes it helps a bit but not enough to make it worth forming a habit of (if it really helped I'd be happy to do it)
She's had her ears, throat and chest looked at by GP, I've tried adjusting temperatures slightly and it doesn't seem to matter what time she naps; I generally stick to routine of two naps around 9.30-10 to 10.30-11 and 2-3ish but if it's different one day due to other things we need to do it seems to have no effect at night.
I know it could be teeth but I don't think that's the true cause although prepared to try something to help that if it might help her (we have tried Calpol and Ibuprofen but it made no difference and I'm not comfortable giving it to her unnecessarily.)
She eats a good quantity and variety in the day.
I'm reluctant to sleep train at this point as it seems like she's uncomfortable or otherwise not able to sleep (the flinching and restlessness) but I'm not sure what's best.
Has anyone else found this? Help! I am very tired but then again she was a wake-every-30-mins girl at 4 months so I know we can get through it
