I hate my sister's wedding dress.
I think it's awful but the rest of bridal party, and obviously my sister, love it.
Just needed to get that off my chest. Feel free to share yours. Worst sister ever Blush

@Mummyoflittledragon I just spat my coffee out at those, WTF Grin

OP I thought you were going to say it was a monstrosity!

I loved my daughter's wedding dress, however I hated the venue, the accommodation we had to stay in and I'm none too keen on her husband either, but obviously I declared everything (including SIL) to be wonderful. DD thinks it was the best wedding ever and that's all that matters.

PatriciaHolm · 19/02/2019 15:32

I hated my own wedding dress!

MyShinyWhiteTeeth · 19/02/2019 15:32

I hated my best friend's dress. It didn't fit her figure, needed altering and still looked shit. I tried to get her to pick something else and there were several dresses that were much better fitting and looked good.

The matching bridesmaid's dresses looked horrible on the hangers but much better when worn. All the bridesmaids looked good in them and it made the wedding dress look even worse in comparison. The groom's mum did attract away some of negative comments due to how bridal her dress looked but I overheard several comments about the fit on the day.

My friend then had it framed in a huge, thick full length frame with pressed flowers from the bouquet - it looks much nicer now). She had a lovely day and that is what matters.

Big boobed ladies in dresses with no support that look like they need pulling up, it’s not a good look (I’m ‘blessed’ in the boob dept before anyone starts).

I hated my friend's dress for this reason. She has the same build as I do (that is, short, chubby, and wearing a bra is non negotiable) and of course went for a strapless and sleeveless corset type thing. There is a picture of her and her husband signing the register and because of the angle it almost looks like she's topless. And of course in every other picture she's yanking the dress back up as it starts to slip down. I did feel bad for her because she was obviously self conscious on the day but she insisted that was the dress she wanted...

I loved my wedding dress but couldn't do it up now and I only got married 5 months ago 🙈

My secret is......I think my sister can do so much better

BadlyAgedMemes · 19/02/2019 16:16

I hated my own dress, even at the time. I was just sick of all things wedding, and picked the first one that actually fit and didn't cost the earth, and decided it won't matter! It's still somewhere in the closet and I don't even want to look at it, or any wedding photos, even 16 years on.

Lweji · 19/02/2019 16:38

Is that the final version or when she tried it? It could look a bit different.

Also, we need photos of at least a similar dress.

Lweji · 19/02/2019 16:40

strapless dresses and mermaid style dresses look like shit

Agree. And I don't like some current styles with basically triangles for boobs either.

I'm thinking that if I was to marry again, I'd want the same dress as the first time.

IJustLostTheGame · 19/02/2019 16:53

I wish I'd had a wedding dress made out of balloons now....

strangerthongs · 19/02/2019 16:53

I hated both my cousins' dresses.

One of them had a dress that looked dirty and a veil in a different shade Confused

Another had a fishtail strapless dress and wore her hair up. She looked like a giraffe.

oh and my colleague had a peplum? lace fishtail type dress and there was just too much going on with the dress. Her makeup was very fierce and she looked like a transvestite.

I'm not usually so bitchy, honest. I'm sure (some) people hated my dress but at the end of the day as long as the bride is happy with it.

StrongerThanIThought76 · 19/02/2019 16:54

I love my sister and would love to see her in any sort of wedding dress. Thing is, she daren't tell our parents there would be 2 wedding dresses to choose as and when she and her dp tie the knot :-(

elephantoverthehill · 19/02/2019 17:04

Lewji
I'm thinking that if I was to marry again, I'd want the same dress as the first time me too and the same figure.

DorothyZbornak · 19/02/2019 17:20

I hated MY OWN wedding dress. Well, maybe hated is a bit strong, but I certainly didn't love it and if I was getting married again, it's definitely not something I'd go for.

CrabbityRabbit · 19/02/2019 17:30

To change the style of secret...

I split up with my DP of 8 years three weeks ago mainly due to his utter lack of paid work over the years. He is a lovely bloke otherwise.

He came to pick up the last of his stuff on Thursday and it was very sad. We both cried.

My secret is I was egged onto Tinder the next day by a mate and slept with one guy on Friday and another on Saturday. Am in talks with a third dude who I will shag when next in the city along with Friday guy who I want to shag again. Friday shag looks very like my ex but has a job and is better in bed. Blush

littleV58 · 19/02/2019 17:34

@CrabbityRabbit 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Spaghettio · 19/02/2019 18:41

StrongerThanIThought - your colleague might be my cousin. I only saw photos (wasn't invited to the wedding) but her makeup made her look like a man!

WineAndTiramisu · 19/02/2019 21:18

@crabbityrabbit Grin go for it!
