How much cleaning?

For the first time ever we stayed I n a luxury lodge accommodation. It is similar to centre Parcs. Just wondered how clean should we leave it?
I am the only one able to clean it. Well the kids could help but they have done bugger all. I have blitzed the kitchen but the bathroom haven't really been touched. Apart from usual ubging toilet cleaner down.
Also haven't hovered. Please tell me this is enough.
Thank you

I usually clean toilets and vacuum

Footloose80 · 15/02/2019 22:58

I thinik toilets aren't too bad but may run vacuum road in morning.
Thank you

Is it Forest holidays?
Not don't clean as they have a team to clean. As I am sure most do.
Hope you had a good holiday.

Footloose80 · 15/02/2019 23:04

They do have a cleaning team so,I know I am probably being a bit silly but if it's anything like Centre Parcs they have to clean so many in a shirt space of time.

If I were paying Premium prices to go away for a few days, I wouldn't be spending any time vacuuming. You've already paid for it to be cleaned, as part of the hire charge.

Footloose80 · 15/02/2019 23:10

Tbf it wasn't a premium price as off season. We would have paid more yo stay I a local Premier Inn but yes part of me thinks that they will expect dome mess.
Nice yo get different opinions

I'm honestly a decent person but in this scenario I don't clean at all. I leave the place tidy, things in the right place, but there are people paid to clean and so I leave it to them.

You're aware you're paying to clean right now? You've paid for a holiday but you're...cleaning? Shock

BackforGood · 15/02/2019 23:20

Well, even so - ignore the word Premium.
Even if you were paying £20 a night, part of that money goes to the people being paid to clean it. I mean, I obviously wouldn't leave it in a state, but the fact remains if I pay to stay somewhere, I wouldn't expect to clean it.

FairyMoppings · 15/02/2019 23:26

I'm with ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual

I'm a professional cleaner, and I get how inconsiderate and disrespectful people can be to cleaners. But providing you haven't completely trashed the place, don't leave the toilets with skids/turds (sorry!) and you leave it tidy, don't go to town with scrubbing and worry yourself about cleaning. You're on holiday fgs!

Even if you scrub and hoover, the cleaners will come in and do it all again anyway.

Footloose80 · 15/02/2019 23:30

I think my opinion is tainted buy the fact that I know a Centre Parcs cleaner who had to work her socks off. Anyway I have left it fairly clean so won't do anymore.
Thank you

Surely cleaning is part of the price? Leave it tidy but clean??? You're mad
