My feet are killing me, I desperately need comfy shoes

I have hotter shoes they hurt me

I need a tiny heel, something like vans are way too flat

Not a heel really just not totally flat

Please help me

What’s your budget? Do you have a jnifik?

PurpleDaisies · 14/02/2019 22:53

That daft word is supposed to say “uniform”

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 14/02/2019 22:53

Doc Martens

Have you tried a memory foam insole?

GottenGottenGotten · 14/02/2019 22:57

Sketchers memory foam footwear, they have different styles. Made a world of difference to my daughter when she was waitressing.

ssd · 14/02/2019 22:59

I get min wage so very low budget

I wear a skirt and blouse and a tabard

I have orthotic insoles and feet are still sore after a shift

‘Reebok easytone faith’ were my favourite when working 12 hour shifts, just had a look online and they’ve jumped up in price.

Maybe try other easy tone shoes? Not having your weight on one part of your foot all the time makes a hell of a difference.

FissionChip5 · 14/02/2019 23:01

(Sorry, posted before I saw your budget)

A pair of Clark's brogues. Comfest shoes ever an investment at £50 to £60. They have a comfort foam insole. I got them when waitressing in a place with stones floors.

PurpleDaisies · 14/02/2019 23:02

I’m a teacher and I wear Clark’s shoes.

ssd · 14/02/2019 23:03

I've heard sketchers are comfy but they are pricey too

Sympathy, I well remember foot pain from catering work.

There are sketchers-like ones but cheaper brands.

TarragonSauce · 14/02/2019 23:12

The Skechers are pricey but the loafer style ones with the low wedge and memory insoles are very well worth it and will last a long time.

My DDs, waitress and bar worker on minimum wage, would both recommend the memory foam trainers that cost £10 from Primark. They're not exciting to look at, just plain black, trainer style lace-ups, but they both swear by them. They're not very noticeable, so fit well with workwear. There's also an £8 pair that look a bit nicer but they aren't memory foam, and are much less comfortable for working in. Definitely worth spending the extra couple of pounds, if you can.

I bought some patent black loafers from Sainsbury's last week for work... they're the comfiest shoes I've had in ages (and I usually buy Clarke's for work) they were £20 I think... but this weekend they have 25% off all clothes and shoes

unicornsarereal1 · 14/02/2019 23:28

When I was waitressing I got some sketchers from sports direct they were so comfortable! - think I've seen some in primark now too

ssd · 14/02/2019 23:28

Primark doesn't have much of a website, so I took a quick photo. Inside the shoe it says WORKOUTmemoryfoam I think they had them in light grey as well.

I’m a student psychiatric nurse and regularly do 14.5 hour shifts. I was recommended fitflop trainers and they’re the comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn! My feet don’t hurt after a long day running around a ward! Here’s a link to the outlet on the website. www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-outlet-view-all-uk#sort=price-asc

RestingBitchFaced · 15/02/2019 08:09

I've got the memory foam trainers from primark too, they are really comfy. I also have insoles for a bunion, and these work well together. Are your insoles new? My feet hurt when I first got them, as it changed your balance slightly. They don't hurt at all now I am used to them though
