Anyone got experience with baby modelling?

Right posting here for traffic and hoping you’ll be kinder than if I post in AIBU. Flowers

Since the day my daughter has been born people, strangers and relatives have commented on how much hair she’s got. Full thick quite long dark brown hair. Anyone in that baby Facebook group I joined with members on here will have seen it. 👍🏻

Basically I clicked a link on Facebook as I was curious about baby modelling, I don’t have a lot of money I’m a single parent and I thought it could be a way to put a bit of money away for her future.

BizzyKidz have said she’s through but want a test shoot and they charge 190 for now until she’s 17, then two years free after that. (I don’t think she’ll be forever modelling as I want her to have a proper childhood and hobbies ect, seems like it will be hours of waiting around and boring for a child) we go out every day at the moment to different places while I visit friends and she’s only 12 weeks, so I doubt she’d get bored. Also I’m wary over paying any type of fee.

Another Agency have invited us to a test shoot in Nottingham, I’m attending that this Monday. They’ve not mentioned any kind of fee yet but I’ve heard of BizzyKidz and not heard of them. Baby boy female male teen child management Manchester London...not a catchy top of an email 😂

It seems a bit of a minefield and I’m not interested in paying for any photos (I recently treated myself to a newborn shoot and bought lovely pictures) I’m interested in this so I can put away bit of money and as bit of a hobby as I’m in a lot, live in the midlands and could drive around.

Any experience or advice welcome.

Know there’s been threads but I can’t find recent ones and I want up to date experiences and advice.

Anything that expects money from you before u have any work is more than likely a con..

Anything that charges for fees, portfolios, photographs etc is a scam.

A real modelling agency will be happy to invest money into a potential and then take their cut from the gigs booked.

Bizzykids in particular is a name I've seen pop up a lot from scams. Avoid avoid avoid.

Try Kids London. They don't charge large fees and will let you use your own recent snaps if they are decent.

There’s simply not a lot of money in baby modelling, so if it’s something you want to pursue I wouldn’t think of it as a way “to put money away for her future”. You should only bother if you want the experience. You may find that any money you get will be eaten up by agency commissions and petrol costs. And you may not book any jobs at all. There really aren’t many campaigns for babies. Certainly not enough jobs to go around for all the cute babies out there with eager parents.
