Best books for explaining "where babies come from"?

Hi all, my DD is 6 and has not as yet shown any interest in knowing "where babies come from". That said, I'd like to be prepared for when she does.

Can anyone recommend a good book that explains things in a way that is not too intense or scary for a 6 year old? I want to be truthful without freaking her out!

We have one not the stork - drawings rather pictures including a great one that shows a pregnant woman eating and a cut out showing the stomach and growing baby separated! Just think how many times people say baby in mummy’s tummy! It also clearly shows the various body parts labelled. Matter of fact. We looked through with ds and then left it in his room and he knows to ask any questions.

“Mummy laid an Egg” is a good start, it's a story but gives a nice introduction to everything & is quite funny!

Mummy laid an egg by Babette Cole has been great for my 6yo & 4yo. They seem to have taken bits from it at the level they have been ready for.
