Super sensitive tooth and possible trismus

Ouch ouch ouch!

I developed an infection in my back molar a few weeks ago, antibiotics (2 lots) didn't work, it's 'heavily filled' so I decided to have it whipped out.

My lovely dentist couldn't get it to go numb - despite eleventy billion injections - and referred me to have it out under a GA. the referral was refused and I was sent for a 'sedation appointment'.

The specialist sedation dentist said that sedating me wouldn't work as it was a pain issue, not a nervous patient issue and trying to anaesthetise me again, this time right into the back of my jaw which was REALLY painful 😖 .... my ear and eye even went numb .. but not my tooth!

I'm now booked in for an hour long appointment in another 2 weeks time where she said she will try different Techniques to numb it! So two things, has anyone been in this sitch? And two, has anyone been left with an awful pain in there jaw after dental anaesthetic injections? I was wondering Trismus? I can't yawn 👎🏻

Thanks for reading my marathon of a post!
