I have an unopened tub, use by 4 Feb. I just opened it and it looks and tastes fine.

I'd like to makes some scones and use it up rather than bin it. Will I be making myself ill?

If it looks ok, tastes ok and smells ok, then my way of thinking is that it's ok!!

Totally cream first, it acts as the butter you know.

I also had some leftover gruyere and bread, both on the turn but not quite there yet, so made a croque monsieur for lunch. Now about the tuck in to a scone.

I'm living like a queen today, fast approaching her use by date.

So the scones are done - what time will you be ready for seconds - will pop over to make you not feel so bad....

Sour milk used to be an ingredient in scone making, so sour cream should be OK.
