No it was taken down for privacy concerns. If you are concerned then contact your gp.

endofthelinefinally · 07/02/2019 10:12

You need to get medical advice asap.
Either GP, walk in or 111.

GoodStuffAnnie · 07/02/2019 10:23

I’ve seen Gp. Not concerned.

I called 111 when this happened to me - the advised me to go to out of hours doctor. He was brilliant, tested my blood pressure to make sure I was ok, and gave me some tablets to slow down the bleeding.

You don't have to suffer in silence. Bleeding that heavily is not normal, take care

Ellabella989 · 07/02/2019 10:26

How old are you? My mum has this when she was going through menopause.
Another cause could be fibroids

CreakyBlinder · 07/02/2019 10:27

Reading a thread from someone with a similar problem won't help. If I was you I'd call 111.

JennyOnAPlate · 07/02/2019 10:28

If this isn't usual for you then it is a concern. How long has is been happening? Have you got a walk in centre nearby that you can go to for a second opinion? Or a different GP at your practice?

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 07/02/2019 10:33

You need to go back to your GP or ask to see a different one. They can give you tablets to ease blood flow, I have had the same.

GoodStuffAnnie · 07/02/2019 17:02

Thanks all. Gushing but less now.

Only happens to me on the 3rd day and only in the evening. Only solution I found was to sit on the toilet as much as possible.
Calms down on day 5.
But then I am over 50.

Veterinari · 07/02/2019 17:13

It can be a sign of sepsis and should be checked

Boiledeggandtoast · 07/02/2019 17:23

I used to have torrential bleeding in the run up to the menopause (going through a night-time pad in 15 minutes). You have my sympathies as it is totally debilitating while it is happening and can leave you very anaemic. I was (eventually) referred for a scan and found to have fibroids. Once they were removed, my periods were much more manageable. Thankfully I am now through the menopause and would happily keep the menopausal symptoms rather than go back to periods!

Can you ask for a referral to have a scan? Good luck.

GoodStuffAnnie · 07/02/2019 17:49

Thank you.

I asked about sepsis and gp was happy.

I have just turned 40, so could be start of something new. I feel ok now am monitoring.
