Vomiting and constipation after 8 week jabs?

Formula fed DD had her 8 week jabs yesterday morning. She usually has 1 or 2 dirty nappies everyday, but hasn't had any since the innoculations. She's had a slight fever and has been really unsettled but the calpol helped.

Is this normal? I know it's only been since yesterday but she's my PFB so I worry about everything. Was thinking of calling 111 but I don't want to waste their time if it's perfectly normal.

The fever is normal, that's why they recommend the Calpol. A day isn't really long for a baby that age to not have a dirty nappy. I wouldn't be worried but if it puts your mind at rest, give 111 a buzz. No point worrying.

Both of mine started pooing less at around 8-10 weeks - by 10 weeks going days without a poo. It might just be chance that it’s happened at the same time as the jab.

As PP said, the fever is normal so give the calpol as instructed.

It is probably just a general response to the vaccine.

However, did she get the rotavirus jab? Because that can, very rarely, cause a blockage in the gut. If you're concerned about that, then give 111 a call and get her checked out.

Apologies if I've worried you.

My DD had similar- she had a bad tummy afterwards- didn't poo for a few days and then had diarhea and went back to normal as a reaction to the rotavirus vaccine.

She didn't vomit though and it does mention on the NHS to contact a doctor with vomiting as it's occasionally something serious as a PP said:

So maybe give 111 a call? It probably is a normal reaction, but better be safe than sorry x
