Dangerous pavement slabs outside house

I live in a coldesack with a patch of grass and trees outside and it has a pavement surrounding it so people can access there front doors .
These paving slabs haven't been maintained since the early 90s . 2019 the slabs have all started to lift up and become uneven and some are cracked and they look unsightly , numerous times ive tripped or stubbed my toe on them and so have my children. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt badley .

I'm not the only one who's made a comment about them , I know all of my neighbors well and they have said they are becoming a nuisance .

It's not a matter of one being fixed all of them need replacing because every slab is uneven

How do I go about getting g them fixed ?

Log it with the council?

If your cul de sac is a private road, homeowners will be liable .

Report to your council. If you put the name of your council and 'pavement hazard' into google you should get the right website address pop up - it should be called Public Rights of Way

The definition of a trip hazard is a 'lip' of 1 inch or mor, existing for 6 months or more (apparently councils should be allowed plenty of time to assess and plan maintenance requirements). So measure the step in the slabs, take a picture and send them all of that information. If you have any pictures from last year that show it, send them too, it might hurry them up a bit.

But councils do rely on peple reporting such things via the PRW, so let them know ASAP!

As above, report it to your local council. It's usually easy enough to do online, and you can always follow it up with a phone call to find out what action is being taken.

If it's a public road, adopted by the Council report to them - usually the Highways department.
If it's a private road it will be down to the management company/residents themselves to organise repairs.
