Looking for recommendation for good places to eat with two kids in tourist London? Lunch and dinner - preferably not chains that we can visit at home. Thanks.

My Old Dutch in Holborn.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Brasserie Zedel! Would also recommend it.

Also, if your kids like Indian food, Masala Zone is a good small chain, as is Busaba Eathai if they like Thai.

This is amazing. Thank you so much everyone. Plenty to choose from. This will stop us wandering hangrily around London.

My kids love Bodeans, they have quite a few restaurants about.
I also like The Diner, been to the Strand one.
Maxwells in Covent Garden.
Belgo
Smollenskys in the Strand

Might be a bit far out but 24 hour Polo bar near liverpool St is fab, it actually has no door as it is open 24 hours!

Yalla Yalla off Oxford Street is lovely Beirut food. Yummy street food meze type things as well as mains. Tasty and reasonably priced.
