Looking for recommendations for somewhere that satisfies the following:

Short haul flight
Warm enough for outdoor swimming in may-june
Family friendly hotel (1 and 4 year olds)
Both a beach and town/city in walking distance to the hotel (will not be hiring a car)
Lovely outdoor pool

I'm particularly after specific hotel recommendations but also general destinations would be useful. For example considering Tel Aviv or Alicante to satisfy the city-beach requirement but very much open to ideas. Any budget.

Thanks mumsnetters.

The Pension Miguel in Nerja. It's a short hop to Malaga by plane, followed by a short drive up the coast. It's located right in the heart of the old town overlooking quaint bars and restaurants. It's a very short walk to the beach and is within spitting distance of the mountains. But please don't tell anyone else I don't want it to get booked up!

Crete is the warmest island in May and although I haven't stayed I have family who swear by the hotel called 'The Island' and the photos do look nice.

Or the capital of gran canaria, Las Palmas. The city is on the seafront and playa las canteras is a lovely long sweep of beach. Tenerife will have good weather, staying in the capital of Santa Cruz away from the main tourist hubs is a great option as there are lovely tavernas to while away the afternoon in. The local beach La Teresitas is lovely and the Anaga Mountains are on the doorstep for some gorgeous walks.

That should say Crete is the warmest Greek Island!
