Baby wakes on a pram walk

I always thought that a little walk sends babies to sleep but mines the opposite, a pram walk wakes him up and I have to keep stopping to pick him up and comfort him before we can carry on.

He's only 2 weeks old but I had a c section so walking is my only option of getting about until I can drive again.

Any tips to keep him happy so I can get to the shops?

Also, you can drive as soon as you feel able to do an emergency stop and drive safely. You don't need to wait 6 weeks.

@SarahAndQuack Theres nothing odd about the fact my car seat doesn't fit to my pram chassis, a pp asked it if I did- I was merely answering 'no'.

Try a sheepskin liner in pram bassinet, plus a baby pillow.

The sheepskin will be cosy and stop them sliding around. Plus reduce bumps etc they feel

A baby pillow is fine to use when you are watching them so in a pram but not in cot overnight.

These are a good pillow for babies. They are used a lot in germany and sweden. lillakuddisbabypillows.co.uk/

At 2 weeks I would also swaddle them to help them feel secure. then add blankets ontop according to the weather.

I commented because you didn't say the obvious (it's not that kind of pram) and I wondered whether you meant it was faulty, or what.

notthisone are you able to get adaptors for it? That's what I had to do with mine.

My DD didn't really love the pram or the car seat but did like the sling and then at 6 months moved her to the upright pram.

Congratulations!

Doesn't really matter about the car seat.. a 2 week old baby should only be in a car seat for a maximum of 30 minutes so not long enough for a walk anyway.

Thanks for all your advice. I've ordered a pram liner and pram wedge to prop him up a bit and muse him feel more secure, hopefully that will do the trick so I can escape these 4walls for half an hour Smile

Why isn't 30 minutes long enough for a walk? Confused

Good luck with it, OP.
