My work wants me to take my baby in to meet a few of them (most women do this at my place) and I was just wondering how old your baby was when you decided to take them in to meet your colleagues?

It never occurred to me to take the babies to work!!

I think he was about 6 months, it was a call centre environment and I had a toddler too so it wasn’t a kid friendly place really plus the thought of navigating into the city centre with the 2 of them on my tod didn’t really appeal

I took DS in at 2 days. My boss and colleagues really wanted to meet him. My boss really loves babies. He held DS for about 45 minutes.

Then I went back in with DS when he was 5 months old to discuss my return to work and again my boss held him...He then thought it would be a good idea to try and play aeroplanes with DS and he lifted a teething DS over his head. DS then proceeded to dribble all over the top of my bosses head BlushGrin

12 weeks.

7 hours. Work was next to the hospital.

Nobody really wants to see a baby at a place of work

Speak for yourself, I love it when people bring their babies in, who wouldn't want to cuddle a squidgy little newborn in the middle of a boring work day Grin

I used to work with someone who brought their baby into the office on the way home from the hospital. Our office was a restricted area so his DW had to wait in the canteen Shock

Never happened.

TakeAChanseyOnMe · 01/02/2019 13:36

Not the same situation but I was once in a hospital waiting room and a patient was there with her mum and her baby - baby was about 6 months and the chubby smiley type.

One is the nurses was holding him and said “I think we should buy a baby for the waiting room, they make everyone happier.” Grin

About a week old, i love seeing babies in the office :-)

Thecomfortador · 01/02/2019 13:41

6 weeks, dropped toddler at nursery (no way was I taking him in as well) and we dropped by.

Happyandshiney · 01/02/2019 13:43

I think about 10 weeks. We have twins and I needed a bit of help so I waited until my DH had a day off and could come with me.

In the particular company it was expected that you brought your baby in.

My current offices don’t allow under 18s on site so you never see any babies.

twoheaped · 01/02/2019 13:45

Mine was 12 years old Grin

Crunchymum · 01/02/2019 13:46

DC1 was a few months, I didn't bother taking DC2 or 3 in (same company and job!)

sar302 · 01/02/2019 13:57

Mine was 7 weeks old, and slept the entire time - much to the annoyance of an office full of women that wanted cuddles!

BlackPrism · 01/02/2019 14:02

It's always a month- 6 weeks here
