Is sleeping too much really a thing?

I've been experimenting recently with going to early morning yoga sessions which involves getting up at 6.20. I don't go every day but I thought a general trend towards earlier nights would be a good thing all round.

Last night I slept from 10pm to 7.30am and I feel TERRIBLE. Almost like I'm hungover, all groggie and swimmy.

What's your ideal length of time to sleep for?

My ideal is 8. I'm fine on 6-7 hours. Feel rubbish if I sleep 9+ which is rare anyway. I think everyone's ideal will be different though. My mum sleeps 10+ and naps in the day.

I need a lot of sleep, usually nine hours at least. But if I have had a day with not so much sleep, the next day I’m exhausted and usually sleep about 12 hours.

I average 6.5-7. 8 would be amazing.

I can definitely sleep too much, and if so I usually wake up feeling like shit. I function better on too little rather than too much!

My minimum is 8. I prefer 9. Once a year I try to get 12 as I feel amazing for it. Less than 7 and I'm half the person I normally am.

Any less than 7 or 8 and I'm a nightmare tbh

Do you have young DC OP? I feel hungover almost every morning from broken sleep.

Do you have young DC OP?

Haha no, no DC here; bloody hell I'd be even worse!
