back in July last year when we were having a heatwave loads of people saying god i hate this hot weather, now there is snow in places people are saying god i hate the snow, so what is perfect weather are you a summer person or a winter person, me i love the hot dry weather, hate the cold wet winter weather

26 degrees
Long summer days
Rains between 3-4 am to keep it lush
Will that do

StillSmallVoice · 31/01/2019 14:21

Dowser, that's about perfect. Can we have a gentle breeze to keep things fresh?

DownstairsMixUp · 31/01/2019 14:23

Hot for me, 26-28 is perfect.

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 31/01/2019 14:26

20 - 24 degrees. Rainy mornings clearing to sun in the afternoons.

LaurieFairyCake · 31/01/2019 14:26

No wind. About 16-19 degrees so I can just wear a cardigan and scarf. Bright sunshine.

Vinorosso74 · 31/01/2019 14:28

About 24 degrees, sunny, light cloud is ok. Rain overnight to clear the air, water the plants and clean the paths/roads.

Morgan12 · 31/01/2019 14:31

I would like to actually have seasons. Cold and snow in Winter. High 20s in Summer. A nice Spring with showers. A beautiful Autumn cold enough for a light jacket.

wanderings · 31/01/2019 14:35

Last summer was beautifully hot, and was much appreciated after the looooooooong winter (snow in March), but could have done with some rain.

But it's legendary that the British are never content with the weather.

confusedandemployed · 31/01/2019 14:37

What Dowser said. Perfection.

WinterHeatWave · 31/01/2019 14:38

Seasons are seriously underrated.

We need an autumn, so we can have clear frosty mornings crunching through the leaves.
Need a spring for all the bulbs (I love daffs and bluebells and crocuses and tulips).
Maybe a couple of weeks of overnight snow on Fridays and Saturdays, with bright sunshine from 12pm to melt it all - no grey slush!
And summer, with rain (I miss rain - rain here usually involves a day off school, like the UK gets snow days). I like the idea of overnight rain, to drop the temperature and clear the air, with days at 25C.

isseywithcats · 31/01/2019 14:39

All these sound about right, warm during the day and dry, some rain at night to keep the plants green a nice breeze but not a gale thank you ladies

Autumn. Dry and crisp. You know what coat to wear.

PurpleAndTurquoise · 31/01/2019 14:53

24 degrees and sunny
Or
-8 degrees, sunny and snow 2 feet deep.

ohdearmymistake · 31/01/2019 15:02

26 degrees
Long summer days
Rains between 3-4 am to keep it lush

This but not forgetting that it has to cool at night to make sleeping comfortable.

feelingverylazytoday · 31/01/2019 16:28

About 22° for me, sunny intervals with a slight breeze. A bit of light rain in the evening is quite nice. Also, a warmish spring so you can go out without a winter coat and gloves. Doesn't have to be sunbathing weather, more light jacket or cardigan weather. (Which is about 15° for me).

Lottapianos · 31/01/2019 16:30

Definitely need variety between seasons. Cold, dry and sunny in Winter, but no snow. No hotter than 25 degrees in Summer

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 16:31

Snow, but not so much that the country grinds to a halt.

TrendyNorthLondonTeen · 31/01/2019 16:33

Freezing cold but bright and sunny.

Hobbitbobbit · 31/01/2019 16:36

I hate the heat, there’s no way for me to keep cool. I’d rather a crisp day with bright blue sky and sunshine, cold enough to need jumper jeans and a coat

RiverTam · 31/01/2019 16:38

about 20-22 degrees. Warm enough to not need anything more than a cardigan but not so hot the house is insufferable and I start sweating.

CuppaSarah · 31/01/2019 16:39

Heavy snow, when everyone is home and don't need to be anywhere and the cupboards are full.

VanillaSauce · 31/01/2019 16:48

What Dowser said.

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 31/01/2019 17:09

I’ll take the long days of hot thanks.

I don’t mind a (mild ) winter but the short days drive me nuts. Not a fan if temperamental Spring or the increasing oppressive creeping gloom of Autumn.

Pascha · 31/01/2019 17:21

Without reading other replies:

Summer: 22-24° sunny, slight breeze, maybe enough for a cardiac in the shade.

Spring/autumn: 12-15° sunny and mild.

Winter: -3°- +3° cold and crisp. Hoar frost.
