Just heard on the today programme.

Really? I have a coat that is 30 years old and expect to get a few years wear out of most things. I don’t think I’ve ever thrown anything out after just 5 weeks, even the fashion mistakes of my youth.

That’s surely rubbish? Most of my clothes are years old.

i have two dresses from 1991 that i will not throw away and still wear them sometimes, (little black dresses posh dos)
Asda jeans that i bought ten years ago and still wear on a daily basis
several tee shirts that are over ten years old still wear them
my winter jacket this is its third winter and still looks good,
holiday clothes that are put away each year and only worn for the holiday so some are several years old
yes i do buy new clothes but i send some to charity shops when ive had a blow out on buying so its one in one out
