Frozen shoulder

I've just been diagnosed with one and it's making me miserable. I'm not big on meds but I can't sleep with it. Any tips or stories for me? How long did yours last?

@bamboowarrior I had keyhole surgery the first time my shoulder froze. Two years of various treatments, physio, cortisone, infra-red, didn't work and mine calcified. The surgery removed the calcification and manipulated the shoulder. I went from 20% range of movement to 95% following the operation, and pain free! Highly recommend.

However, I've since had two more frozen shoulders...on the other side 😩. Both times took over 2 years to get 'better'...not sure I recovered from the second one before it started to freeze again, and I'm now worried it's starting up again!

Awful condition that, as PP have said, other people don't understand because it's not visible.

💐 to all who've gone through this.

@bamboowarrior
Its ideal to have the hydrodilatation earlier on to prevent the calcification. I was told it got to a stage where it became totally rigid like yours they do a couple of tiny snips and you have freedom. I have some restriction still and Tbh I'm not bothered as it was the excructiating pain I couldn't cope with and its coming back anyway.
I gel frozen shoulder is the most ridiculous term to describe something so excruciating as the condition it's dreadful.
