I know I sound like I've lost the plot, but...

I just used fly/moth killer spray on a giant moth that found its way into my house. After successfully killing the moth, I have headed through to the kitchen to take my medication before going to bed.

When I've put the tablet in my mouth, there was a bitter taste from the tips of my fingers.

I'm now panicking that somehow there was a small residue from the spray on my finger tips.

I'm an anxiety sufferer so I'm presuming this is my anxiety talking but I'm alone so would appreciate someone talking some sense into me.

Even if this was the spray, it wouldn't be enough to harm me in such a minute quantity, would it? I'd always wash my hands after using the spray normally but I completely forgot.

You will breathe in more of the spray when using it then the tiny amount infested from your fingers. Don't worry about. Unless you were licking the nozzle whilst still spraying it, you will be fine.

Thanks Chrisjen 😅

I hate anxiety 👎🏻 sorry to be a time waster!

You will be fine, there's a good chance the taste is from something else, it's unlikely you would have a lot in your fingers even if it was the spray. I use disinfectant wipes all the time and get a bitter taste if I forget to wash my hands after. I have a nervous habbits of biting skin on my fingers.

Just to relieve a bit of anxiety, have a glass of milk or flush your Mouth with a large glass of water.

OnTheHop · 29/01/2019 23:55

OK, I am sorry you have anxiety, but can you find another way to encourage harmless creatures out of your house without spraying noxious chemicals and killing them? Moths? Turn the inside lights off, outside light on, and out they will go!

Everyone’s a winner!

Yes next time turn off the lights and open the door/window. Even better if you have an outside light on (or put a torch outside).

Better for your lungs, your purse, the environment, the moth!
